The Amazon Echo Hub is a connected speaker that serves as the first control screen for the connected home. It has an 8-inch touchscreen where there is a dashboard for managing the connected devices in the home, via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Matter or Thread protocols. It also allows, via the Ring surveillance system, to keep the home using the Alexa application and compatible cameras, locks, alarms and sensors.

The Amazon Echo Hub is a brand new product that allows you to control more than 140,000 home automation products. You can thus manage the connected objects in the home through an 8-inch screen benefiting, among other things, from Matter.

Amazon presents new ways to supervise your connected home. On the program: an Alexa assistant more amazing than ever, intuitive controls and a function called Map View. Unfortunately, these additions are for the moment reserved for the United States. On the other hand, France is entitled to the Amazon Echo Hub.

A dashboard compatible with many devices

Echo Hub is thus "the first control screen for Amazon's connected home". It thus joins the Echo Show 8 (3rd gen) in the list of new hardware features. More precisely, it is an 8-inch touch screen to place on a piece of furniture or hang on the wall (with a support to be purchased separately).

Through it, you will have access to a dashboard to manage the connected devices in your home and even "arm their Ring security system, start a routine, organize widgets and see several streams from compatible connected cameras".

The Amazon Echo Hub has an infrared sensor that allows it to detect if a person is approaching in order to wake it from sleep mode if necessary.

Zigbee, Thread, Bluetooth, and Matter compatibility are all on board, making the Echo Hub usable with "over 140,000 cameras, lights, locks, plugs, thermostats, speakers, and other connected home devices available worldwide."
