The Zigbee human presence detector with 24 GHz mmWave radar technology is designed to detect the actual presence of a person in a room, even when they are almost completely still.

Unlike traditional PIR motion detectors, which primarily react to movement, millimeter-wave radar technology allows for more sensitive detection of micro-movements.

This sensor is an ideal solution for automating lighting, heating, ventilation, or other equipment in a Zigbee2MQTT-compatible home automation system.

Thanks to its adjustable bracket, the detector can be mounted on a wall or ceiling and then directed towards the area to be monitored.

Note: This model is not compatible with the Tuya Smart and Smart Life apps. A compatible Zigbee gateway is required.

Difference from a conventional PIR detector

A traditional PIR detector is primarily designed to detect body movements. A person sitting in front of a computer or watching television may no longer be detected after a few minutes.

Thanks to 24 GHz mmWave radar technology, this sensor can detect much fainter human movements, thus providing more precise room occupancy management.
